Honor Women
Out of all the DIALS, this one goes most against the ways of this world. On paper, it looks good. Every parent in the room is screaming “YES!”. But the world does not agree. Spend five minutes on the Internet and you cannot miss the opportunities your son faces that will drag them into a pit of isolation, addiction and regret.
HONORING WOMEN must start early. Guardrails must be established, warnings must be provided and tactics deployed to protect your son from the ways of this world. Interestingly enough, it is so hard to find something that Christ said specifically toward this concept of HONORING WOMEN. I think we can all agree that, as men, we can become a slave to the pursuit of women. Our eyes crave their beauty, our hearts long for their approval and our bodies are destined to be linked to theirs. Christ does say that we cannot serve two masters…

As parents, our desire for our sons is to have an amazing marriage – IF that is God’s plan for their life. Some will not be married and this is choice a direction that we cannot dictate. However, I think we will all agree that MOST of our sons will be married and we need to help them set up a plan for protecting their future self. Learning to HONOR WOMEN at an early age will protect your son’s heart and it will protect his future spouse and his future children. Invest in this concept because this world sets your son up for failure in relationships. Resist the tide of our society and stand up for your son’s heart because it is the well-spring of life (Proverbs 4:23).
